QBA is the German abbreviation for quality wines produced from one specific wine-growing region andis made of approved grape varieties and reached sufficient ripeness for a quality wine. We produce QbA from the finest Riesling, found today on the Mosel.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of ripe apple with some citrus and light minerals. Lemon zest, ripe pineapples and apricots are on show on the palate, which charm with freshness.
Serving Suggestions: With this bright fruit, clean acidity and low alcohol, the Slate Estate Riesling is the ideal "welcome wine" for any gathering and great with almost every course in a meal. Perfect for brunch complementing rich eggs and salty ham. Excellent with spicy and salty dishes, too.

Riesling Auslese
-
Auslese is a German language wine term for a late harvest wine and is a riper category than Spätlese in the Prädikatswein. The grapes are picked from selected very ripe bunches in the autumn (late November - early December), and have to be carefully selected and hand-picked.
Tasting Notes: This wine has a unique concentration of sweetness and fruity acidity. It shows plenty of fruit aromas, with scents of sweet apricot and mineral; a rich, mouth-filling palate underscored by minerals and slate; and a very long, excitiing finish.
Serving Suggestions: Serve it with a fruit platter, light desserts (e.g. mousse/dark chocolate) or pour directly on ice-cream. Owing to it refreshing flavor, it makes an excellent accompaniment to appetizers like blue cheese or assorted cheese platter with nuts/crackers. Its distint aromatic flavor makes it an ideal base for cocktails.
